在台灣的潛水中，有一種課程很莫名的不被大家所重視
也很容易被大家忘掉，而且可能更多的時候是沒有人聽過
那就是"水肺複習"(雖然現在改名叫在激活課程，但本人真心覺得很難聽，所以還是稱呼水肺複習)
要釐清一點非常重要的聲明
千萬不要以為"Check Dive"，"測潛"，是所謂的複習
這是建立在"已經能獨立潛水的潛水員，測試他們能力到底如何的一次潛水"
這充其量也算旅遊潛水，也是要你下到開放性的水域去潛水
並不代表，教練帶你出團的時候，你理所當然的視為是複習潛水
我知道出團教練會把Check dive視為複習潛水，但這與真正的水肺複習，實在差太多了
對於PADI的水肺複習規定
在OW課本的知識複習中，就有相關的解釋
如果超過六個月沒有潛水，請去參加水肺複習課程
雖然，這並不是PADI要求的硬性規定，只能說是軟性建議與勸說
所以，教練並不需要真的要你上完水肺複習，才能帶你去潛水
但是，風險最大的，絕對不會是教練，是你
就我個人的想法，要一位有穩定工作的人，半年內就要潛一次水，其實是有點強人所難
況且，六個月還在我認為是合理記憶仍然猶新的範圍之內
但是對於考完照後，接近1~2年內都沒有在接觸潛水的人來說
我強烈建議，必須要去參加水肺複習的課程
這並無關乎於規定，而是對自己與潛伴的安全負責
恕我直言，一位拿到證照後將近1~2年時間沒有潛水的人要回來潛水
大致上是兩種情況
1.你根本不喜歡潛水，你只是"以前"有考到證照，然後某天因緣際會之下，要跟朋友一同參加潛水活動
2.你很喜歡潛水，只是以前的工作，讓你沒有多餘的時間能夠安排假期出來潛

如果你無法證明自己在這半年內有潛水，要上船出去潛水前，一定參加水肺複習的課程
那你猜，是用什麼東西證明呢?
就是台灣人最最最不重視的"潛水日誌"
換個角度想，今天一艘船，全世界四面八方來的客人，4~6人一組，分配一名導潛
你是那位2年多沒下水的人，另外幾位跟你消費同樣的價格，受到同樣的服務
憑什麼??
憑什麼，潛導跟其他人要在水面等你舒緩你的緊張與壓力
憑什麼，潛導跟其他人要在水裡"特別"的照顧你的安全
憑什麼，你可以認為潛導的工作服務是"無論發生什麼問題，都是潛導的問題"
我個人也接過很多，太久太久沒潛水，就直接下水的潛客
即便我盡心盡力，看好他們的狀況，總還是會一轉頭，游不到10秒
再轉頭，人已經浮出水面了，只因為，客人把洩氣閥按到充氣閥
那如此，我導潛的工作，到底是"看"著你潛水，還是"帶"你潛水
所以，安排一段假期潛水前，關於潛水真的已經遺忘到不行的狀況下
請找專業與可靠的潛店或是教練，安排一次水肺複習的課程
這不只是對自己負責，也是對潛水安全最第一線的保障
只有你能夠百分百的保證自己的安全，沒有人能夠代替你
至於只是出國，想碰碰水，潛個一兩次的
強烈建議事先告知店家，多花一點錢，請一位導潛專門一對一看你，這是最適合花錢買安全的選擇
